For organisers
A free guest list app
Running a guestlist from Instagram DMs and a notes app works until the night it doesn't. SendMeTheDrop gives you a proper guest list for free. People ask for a place with one tap, you approve or decline from your phone, they hear back straight away, and whoever's on the door checks names from a link. No account for the door, and it keeps working when the signal in the basement doesn't.
How it works
- Make a guestlist drop. Title, time, area, and Guestlist as the way in. Add a cap if the room has one.
- People request. One tap on Send me the drop. Their request lands with you.
- You choose. Approve or decline each request from your phone. They hear back in the app.
- Seal the address until a set time if you want. Only approved people get it.
- Run the door. Send the door link to whoever's on the door. They search or tick names, no account, works offline.
Guestlist, RSVP or tickets
Guestlist is for when you want to choose. RSVP is for when anyone's welcome up to a number. Tickets are for when people pay. All three use the same button and the same door link. See RSVP and invitations and ticketing.
Good for
Club nights with a list before midnight, private views, brand launches, listening parties, supper clubs where the host wants to know who's coming, first-slot access at sample sales. Anything where the door matters.
Privacy
Your list is yours. Guests don't see each other, only a count. Nobody's name goes on a public page.
Questions
Is the guest list app free?
Yes. Guestlist and RSVP events cost nothing to run.
Does the person on the door need an account?
No. They open the door link on their phone and check people in. It works offline.
How do guests know they're on?
When you approve a request, the guest hears back in the app, and their place shows there. If the address is sealed, it comes to them at the reveal time.
Can guests see who else is on the list?
No. They see how many are going, never names.
