Club nights in London
London's clubbing is mostly one-off nights, not clubs. A promoter books a room, a crew takes over a warehouse for a weekend, a basement in Dalston has three different parties in a week. The big clubs are easy to find. These are the nights that go on the map, each with its area, its start time and how you get in.

Clubs and club nights
A club is a venue. A club night is a party that happens in one, run by a promoter or a collective with its own crowd and its own sound. The same room can host a house night on Friday, a queer party on Saturday and a Sunday session with a different crowd again. Look for the night, not the venue.
If you're searching for "best clubs in London", the honest answer is that the best night in any given week is usually a one-off. That's what this page lists.
Where they are
East London has the most: Hackney Wick warehouses, Dalston basements, the arches round Bethnal Green and Shoreditch. See Hackney and Dalston.
South London has Peckham's rooftops and car-park spaces, Brixton's bigger rooms and Bermondsey's arches. See Peckham.
Central London is Soho's small late bars and the bigger clubs around Farringdon and King's Cross. See Soho.
Getting in
- Walk-in nights often have a free or cheap entry before a set time, then a door price. The drop says which.
- Guestlist means the promoter approves you. Ask early; lists close before the night.
- Tickets go up in tiers as they sell. The earliest tier is the cheapest, and the price on the drop is the price you pay.
- Most clubs ask for photo ID at the door, whatever your age. Bring a physical one.
The night itself
Most London club nights run 10pm or 11pm to 3am or later. Doors are quiet until about midnight. If a night has a capacity under 300, get there before 11:30 or risk a queue that doesn't move.
Getting home is easiest on Fridays and Saturdays, when the Night Tube runs. On other nights, check the night buses before you go.

Questions
What are the best clubs in London?
It changes every week, because the best nights are run by promoters, not venues. Look at what's on rather than where. The list above is every public club night on the map.
How do I get on a guestlist in London?
On SendMeTheDrop, tap Send me the drop on a guestlist night. The organiser approves you, and you'll hear back in the app. Elsewhere, message the promoter directly, early in the week.
What time do London clubs close?
Most club nights finish between 3am and 6am. Some venues have licences to run later at weekends. The drop shows the finish time when the organiser sets one.
Are there free club nights in London?
Yes. Some are free before a set time, some are free all night with an RSVP. Walk-in, RSVP and guestlist drops on the map are free.
