Bonfire Night in London
Bonfire Night is Thursday 5 November this year, so most of London's big displays will move to the weekends either side. The council and park displays are the main event, many ticketed. Around them are the smaller things, a bonfire party in a yard, a firework-view rooftop, a night out after. Those go on the map as organisers drop them.

The dates this year
5 November 2026 is a Thursday. Expect the big displays on Saturday 31 October (which is also Halloween), Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November, with some on the night itself. Each display sets its own date, so check before you go.
This page lists drops from 30 October to 8 November. It stays up all year.
The big displays
Some of London's biggest firework displays, like Battersea Park's and Alexandra Palace's, are ticketed and sell out in the weeks before. Many boroughs run their own displays in local parks, some free, some with a small charge. Your council's website lists the local one, and which years it's running; a few have been cut back or cancelled in recent years.
Watching for free
On the weekend nights the sky over London is full of fireworks from displays and back gardens. Hills give you the view. Primrose Hill, Parliament Hill and the high ground in the south are where people go, so get there early and wrap up.
Safety
- Go to an organised display rather than setting off your own in a park.
- Keep well back from bonfires and follow the stewards.
- Leave the dog at home.
