Live music near you
The big concerts are on sale months ahead on the big ticket sites. Live music near you tonight is a different search. A band in a pub back room, a jazz session, a record played in full before it's out, a DJ in a shop. SendMeTheDrop lists those as gigs on the map, wherever they are in the UK, with the time, the area and how to get in.
Gigs on the map

Small gigs are the best value in music
A grassroots venue with 100 to 300 people is where most bands start and where you'll see them closest. Tickets are cheap, the bar's nearby and you can leave at the interval if it's not for you. Most towns and cities have at least one, often above a pub.
On SendMeTheDrop, gigs show the organiser, the area, the start time and the price, or that they're free.
Finding live music near you tonight
- Open the map and look at tonight. Gigs are marked with what they are.
- Look at pubs with a back room. Many have live music on set nights every week.
- Jazz and folk sessions are often free and open, and run on a regular night.
- Turn on alerts in the app and it tells you when something goes on within about a kilometre.
Listening parties
A listening party plays a new record to a room of people before it's out. They're usually free with an RSVP and almost never on ticket sites. They're one of the formats SendMeTheDrop was built for.
By city
London has the most gigs on the map. See live music in London. Other cities get their own pages when there are enough gigs on the map to fill them.
